When was the last time you studied for anything?
Of course this all depends on your age. Some after yesterday’s A level results will say studying was a doddle as they prepare to go to their first choice universities Others will not agree if they didn’t get the grades they were hoping for.
Well I have to confess that it has been 20 years since I have done any proper studying.
But as the auctioneering bug has properly hitme, it was decided for me that I should start educating myself. Not just selling property but chattels, cars, boats in fact anything that has ever come under the hammer.
“Technical Award in Chattels Auctioneering, now what is a Chattel again”
Now I know that experience goes a long way in this field however NAVA and NFOPP run a variety of courses. So why not sign up do them all and of course tell all as well. A great incentive not to fail the exams is the fact that nobody really wants to put failure on the web.
So the Technical Award in Chattels Auctioneering is the first course to arrive in front of me and this is a production between NAVA and MOL.
Now having got myself all ready, new pencil case and a ruled notebook it was disappointing that the course providers couriers failed to deliver the goods. But all sorted now and a lever arch file with all the bits sits beside me as I type.
My daughter thinks it is fantastic as now someone else in the house is getting chased to do homework and I am thinking of what gavel I would like to buy.
Each week we will bring you the good and the bad about the course. Already MOL have contacted me to say that they have dealt with future delivery issues so that is a great start.
Join me on my course and watch as I train in various auction aspects over the week
